Whisk Mobile Development Pty Ltd ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of users ("you", "your") of our iOS applications ("Apps"). This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Workout Writer. This policy applies to Workout Writer and any future updates or versions of the app.

1. Information We Collect

Workout Writer operates primarily on your device, however, we collect minimal data for essential functionality, improvements, and optional services you choose to use.

Sentry

We use Sentry, a third-party service, for crash reporting and performance monitoring. This service collects limited technical details such as:

• Crash reports and error logs
• Performance metrics (app response times, memory usage)
• Device information (device type, operating system version)
• App version and build number

This data is used solely to improve app stability and performance. Sentry is configured to avoid collecting personally identifying information. Its reports focus on the technical information needed to diagnose crashes and performance problems.

Purchases and Subscriptions

We use RevenueCat to manage Premium purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier and purchase and subscription history from Apple so it can confirm purchases, restore access, and help us understand how our paywall and subscriptions perform. This information is not connected to your name or email. Apple handles your payment details, and RevenueCat does not receive your workout content.

Shared Content

If you create a link or QR code to share a workout, the text of that workout may be stored on our servers so it can be viewed by the recipient.

2. Data Usage and Sharing

We do not sell personal information or share workout content for advertising. We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate and improve Workout Writer. Each receives only the information needed to provide its service.

• Sentry: Technical crash reports and performance diagnostics used to improve app stability.
• RevenueCat: Anonymous purchase and subscription information used to confirm Premium access, restore purchases, and understand subscription performance.
• Garmin Connect: To allow you to save and schedule your workouts. When you choose to send a workout to your Garmin Connect account, the app acts solely as an intermediary. We only communicate with Garmin on your behalf and only when you explicitly request it. We do not store or access your Garmin Connect credentials or workout data.

Google Firebase

Workout Writer uses several Google Firebase services to operate:

• Anonymous account to give your installation a unique anonymous identifier, so we can sync settings and entitlements across app launches. This identifier is not linked to your Google account, Apple ID, name, or email address.
• Remote Config to roll out features and adjust limits without releasing a new app version. This sends standard request metadata (IP address, device type) to Google.
• App Check integrity checks to verify that requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the app.
• AI-generated workouts through Google Gemini. When you use the "Generate" feature, your prompt is sent to Google Gemini to create your workout. This is processed anonymously.

3. Analytics and Marketing

We use a small number of third-party services to understand how Workout Writer is used and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing. We have configured these services to collect as little information as possible:

• Anonymous usage analytics. We record anonymous events such as screen views, feature usage, and subscription state so we can understand which parts of the app are working well. These events are not linked to your name, email address, or workouts.
• Advertising measurement. We use Apple's privacy-preserving advertising tools to understand whether an app download came from an Apple Ads campaign. RevenueCat may combine anonymous subscription results with campaign information supplied by Apple. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) or track people across other companies' apps or websites.

These services may receive standard technical information, including your IP address and an anonymous app identifier. We use this for analytics and advertising measurement, not to identify you.

4. Beta Testing and Mailing List

If you choose to sign up as a beta tester or join our mailing list, we collect the name and email address you provide. This information is used solely to manage beta access and to communicate with you about the app.

For beta testing, your details are shared with Apple App Store Connect / TestFlight so that you can be invited to install and use beta versions of the app.

Providing this information is entirely optional and requires manual input from you. We do not automatically collect your name or email for these lists, and we do not sell or share your data for advertising or tracking purposes.

You can request removal from the beta program or mailing list at any time. Any emails we send will include an unsubscribe option.

5. AI Generation and Data Use

Workout Writer includes an optional AI-powered workout generation feature.

User-Initiated Only

AI generation occurs only when you explicitly request it by pressing the "Generate" button.

Workout Writer does not perform any AI processing in the background, automatically, or without a direct user action.

Data Sent for AI Generation

When you request AI generation, the app may send the following limited information to an external AI service solely to generate the requested workout:

• The workout prompt you enter (for example, "A 5km intervals run").
• Any distance or duration guidance you've selected for the workout.
• The names of any effort or intensity tags you have created (for example, "Tempo" or "Threshold").

Information You Choose to Send

Only the prompt, selected guidance, and tag names you choose are sent for AI generation. Workout Writer does not ask for or intentionally add personal, health, or sensitive information.

6. Security

We prioritize the security of your data. Technical data sent to third-party services is transmitted over encrypted connections using industry-standard transport security (such as HTTPS/TLS).

7. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal requirements or our services. You will know if this policy has been revised since your last visit to the website or the App by referring to the "Effective Date" at the top of this webpage.
