Workout Writer supports both metric and imperial units, and can convert values when needed.
That matters most when you open or share a workout written in a different unit system than your own.
Go to:
Settings → Units
Then select:
In the Units screen, you can configure how converted pace/speed values are rounded.
Examples:
08:45/mile → 05:25/km (pace)20 mph → 32 km/h (speed)Use the rounding controls to choose precision, for example:
You can also set default pace/speed ranges so exact inputs become more practical target bands.
For example:
5:30/km with a ±5 second default pace range → 5:25–5:35/km30km/h with a ±3km/h default speed range → 27–33km/hWorkout Writer can automatically convert distance values from the opposite unit system.
Example:
You can also configure rounding separately for:
Example conversions:
1 mile → 1.6km40 yards → 37mThe goal is not just mathematical accuracy. It is workouts that still read sensibly once they land on someone else's device.
